This is the first plate of its kind to be made from 3/8″ thick billet UHMW, a material with 10X the wear resistance of carbon steel and superior sound muffling properties. Don’t compare this to welded HDPE; our UHMW thermoforming process yields a product that is far tougher and more lightweight.
UHMW self-lubricates as you ride, helping you glide over rocks, roots, and obstacles instead of catching on them. It’s lighter than aluminum, slides better, and holds its shape hit after hit. If you’ve been running an aluminum skid plate, you already know the dents, the noise, and the weight. This is the upgrade.

I want to return this product after several attempts to contact Molecule about my heat concerns with no response. They list no contact phone number or physical address and don’t respond to emails. I had a trip scheduled and I wanted verification that the 390 Adventure skid plate would stand the heat from the catalyst being that there is only ~1/8 inch clearance and some tin foil tape to protect the plastic plate
Shipping was fairly quick and installation was simple. Very happy with the way it looks in my Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. Definitely a lot better quality than most of the other options available out there.
Great product! Everything was simple and straightforward with the installation. Everything fit great! The only reason I didn’t do 5 stars was it would be nice to get a tracking number at shipment. I took a while to get my order and knowing the ETA would have been nice.
